World Book Day 2017

On Thursday 2nd March, it was World Book Day across the country! Our theme in school was a “Wizardry of Words” and this has continued throughout the week! We had a fantastic day on World Book Day, starting off with a fun assembly by Mrs Russell and Miss Gardner playing Book Taboo! We must have some amazing readers because they guessed almost every book from hardly any clues!!! Everybody received a £1 book token to spend in their favourite book shop or local supermarket. This year there is an amazing range of books to choose from. Almost everyone, including staff, came dressed up as a character for our “Wizardry of words theme! We had characters such as Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, Dumbeldore, Professor Mcgonagall, Mildred Hubble and even a Dobby! We were surprised at the amount of effort people put in to make themselves look fantastic. Thank you to everyone who came dressed up and to parents for helping, we were very excited to see what you all came as! At lunchtime the Telegraph and Argus even came to take our photographs!
