This afternoon, we were greeted with white, fluffy snow which was like a soft pillow when millions of snowflakes filled the sky. While Year 6 were playing football, the snow got in their eyes – it turned out to be a better door than a window! Most of the children rushed their lunch to make every moment count outside. When they appeared outside, smiles filled people’s faces as they began to build small snowmen.
Many of the children didn’t want to go back inside because we have never seen anything like it. The snowflakes were massive! On the other hand, others rushed inside when the whistle blew as it was getting a little bit too cold and they wanted the comforting warmth inside.
Overall, everyone really enjoyed their lunchtime and hope to see the snow again soon. Hopefully, more snow will come and maybe sledging will become involved. Fingers crossed we get some more over the weekend!
