Safer Internet Day

On Tuesday, the whole school had an exciting Safer Internet Day assembly with Mr Hodges and Mrs Robert who talked all about how to be safe online.

We all learnt about the definition of permission and how it is an important part of using the internet. Different examples were shared in the assembly and we all had to choose what we believed to be the best option. One example was to consider whether we can accept a location setting on mum’s phone. After very careful consideration, we realised we needed to ask their permission as the phone did not belong to us.

Also in the assembly, Mr Hodges and Mrs Roberts excitedly announced that we are having a poster competition where the winner receives chocolate. The posters are all about how we enjoy using the internet whilst also considering how to do so safely. Everyone is eager to get going on their posters and hopefully win a prize! We are sure the winners will enjoy the chocolate.
