A few months ago, some people from Bradford City came over to our school and set up a penalty shootout. At this shootout, children from Reception all the way to year 6 had 4 chances (unless you forgot to bring in a letter which I will talk about later ) to kick a ball into a football net that was guarded by the one and and only, Billy Bantam.
As I mentioned in the first paragraph, there was a letter handed out to children. This letter told you all about what would happen at the penalty shootout, however, attached to the letter was a form where you could ask family members to raise money for school. If you raised the most money, you could get a signed Bradford City football! Some other things you could win were medals, bags and normal footballs, the good thing about that was you didn’t have to raise the most amount of money!
The lucky winner of the signed football was Freddie in Reception. Mrs Bedell and Mrs Bottomley were both seen holding their phones and taking videos of him winning the ball, so we can only imagine how proud they were!
We are all excited for next years penalty shootout and we are all ready to try our best to raise the most amount of money.
