Both Year 4 classes arrived at school full of excitement as they knew it was finally the day to visit Nell Bank. They left school eagerly at 11am and on arrival they ate their lunch and settled in. The first two activities were about discovering the living creatures in the local area. Group 1 went pond dipping while Group 2 went on a mini-beast hunt. The children really enjoyed both activities and found a range of different creatures. After that, it was time for a break where the children had a practice fire drill and learnt about what the rest of the trip entailed.
Following this, it was time to let off a bit of steam in both the adventure play and water area which the children really enjoyed. Once they were worn out, it was time for tea and we were treated to tasty sausages or jacket potatoes. After tea, it was back out to play in a bit of free choice time before getting ready for bed and relaxing in the canteen. Here the children had a tasty hot chocolate and biscuit whilst completing an exciting quiz. The children are now all tucked into bed in preparation for the long walk tomorrow. Goodnight!
