NSPCC

This week, Blakehill have had a visit from the child protection centre called the NSPCC. They came all the way to our school to talk about speaking out and staying safe.

They showed all of the children different forms of abuse such as: physical abuse, bullying, emotional abuse etc. The two visitors told us all about how much our worries can affect us and how small things can make a big difference.

They also showed us an animation all about a small girl who had been experiencing worrying things with her family at home. To help herself, she called the child line number (08001111) and asked for help. After that, things started getting better for her.

Finally, they explain to us that calling Childline was nothing to worry about. To represent this they showed a stop motion animation all about it.

It was a really informative assembly and everyone learnt a lot.
