I have spent a fantastic day today with our Year One children at Harlow Carr Gardens. We spent some time in the purpose built classroom there learning about different types of seeds and how they are dispersed. The children then spent some time in the large greenhouse planting garlic. Each of the children have brought their plant back to school to grow on in the classroom. The remainder of the day was then spent exploring the impressive gardens, which were filled with a wide range of colourful spring flowers. All the children had a fun day and learnt lots of new things about seeds and plants. Everyone came back happy but tired (including me!).
We are very proud as a school to have been awarded the ICT Mark for a second time. Congratulations to all the staff who have worked so hard to achieve this award. This award is recognition of the school’s achievement in reaching a very high standard in the use of technology. This optional accreditation is evidence that the school has undergone an extensive and thorough review of its use of ICT and that our plans and provisions exceed the national standard.
As a result of gaining the award we have received a letter from the House of Commons congratulating us on our success.
We are pleased to announce that our brand new library and resource facility will be officially openen on Tuesday 8th April by the Lord Mayor of Bradford.
