Last netball league fixtures of the season.

On Thursday our netball team played their last league fixtures of the season.

They were awarded a walkover win in their scheduled league game. They also played a friendly against OLV and won 1-0. Alix (our player of the evening) scored our goal.

We finished a very respectable 4th out of 7 teams in our league. Rianna was awarded as our Player of the Season. Well done Rianna.

Mrs Meakin and everyone at Hothfield are very proud of you!

Hothfield’s netball team in action again.

Last Thursday (12th), Hothfield’s netball team played 2 more league matches at Holy Family school. We won the first match 3-1, agianst St Stephen’s, and lost the second match 1-0 against OLV.

Rianna scored all 3 of our points. Well done to Scarlet, Sahiba, Rianna, Alix, Rachel, Marissa, Alana, Emily, Sofia, Emilie and Abigail. Mrs. Meakin says that you are representing Hothfield ever so well and that we are continuing to improve.

Keep it up girls.

Year 5 – You’re Hired!

For food week, Year 5 competed in their own Apprentice-style task. After costing and pricing their own flapjacks using their maths skills, the teams turned creative to design packaging and promote their brands. The boardroom beckoned for all on Friday as they pitched their ideas to Lord Sugar and his/her formidable assistants!

It was a brilliant all-round task, with great team work, creativity and maths reasoning. Well done to all, and especially to the team in each class who were ‘hired’!

Looking forward to visiting our friends from Thornbury…

Here are some pictures of our visit to Nell Bank last year.
