Learning about gases

In this week’s Science lessons, some of the Year 4 children have been following in the footsteps of local Science superstar Joseph Priestley, carrying out experiments to find out more about gases:

  • What happens to air when it is heated?
  • Is carbon dioxide lighter than water?
  • Does air weigh anything?
  • Can we produce and capture carbon dioxide?

Its fair to say that the experiments we conducted were a lot of fun and gave some really useful results.
