Fantastico! Fantastisch! C’est fantastique!

This week, a group of our Year 4 children attended a Languages Fair hosted by our colleagues in the South Craven Modern Languages department.

There were some nerves before the event but the staff (and pupils) at South Craven managed an entertaining and insightful programme with children learning a mixture of German, French and Spanish as well as learning about a number of other European countries.

The activities used a mixture of role play, technology and independent research but a main focus was that children should be courageous in their approach and Mr Peat was extremely proud of the way all the children were unafraid to have a go at any of the activities. Needless to say that the children represented the school well and showed pride in doing so.

The European countries quiz – won by ‘Team Ireland’ and ‘La Squadra Italia’ (Maisy, Isabel, Thea & Ben)

The children involved were: Muhammad, Eshal, John, Umayma, Maisy, Kaito, Isabel, Ronnie, Fatima, Ben, Thea and Connor.

Well done everyone.
