Day 2: Kingswood

After a good nights sleep (ha ha) we were up at the crack of dawn ready for our second day at Kingswood.

We started our day with  an all you could eat breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bacon, mushroom, tomatoes, beans and toast.

Then it was time to start our programme of events. We had seven activities to conquer!

The Climbing Wall was fantastic! We all managed to conquer our fears – even Miss Fraser had a go and surprised us all by not falling off! Mr Wilkinson broke the Teacher Climbing Wall recorded in 31.2 seconds.

Then it was full speed ahead onto the quad bikes when we put the pedal to metal. Although Mrs Campbell had all the gear but no idea of what she was doing.

In drum beat we used drums, agogos, boom wackers, ganzas, shakers, tambourines, dustbins and shakers to create layers of music. By the end of the session we had created our own musical extravaganza, worthy of Britains Got Talent. Simon Cowgill would have given us a huge YES!

Then it was “ON GUARD” as we lunged and jabbed our opponents in fencing.

The 3G swing really made our day! Miss Yaxley and Mr Wilkinson encouraged us to challenge ourselves to defy gravity. Apparently you could hear Miss Yaxley’s screams back in Keighley.

Orienteering in the woodland was great fun, only a few children needed the use of a SAT NAV to find their way home.

Then it was FOOD, GLOURIOUS FOOD… before movie night and hot chocolate.

We can’t believe it’s almost time to go home.

Wish you were here.

Day One: Kingswood Here We Come.

What an advenure!

We were all very excited this morning at the beginning of our first epic trip to Kingswood. We ejoyed waving to our parents and it wasn’t too long until we arrived and the fun began!

Our activity afternoon started with a quick game of football and rounders with Mr Wilkinson acting as referee.

We were shown around the activity centre by Craig our group leader and then we had our first task… making our OWN beds! (I think we might need a bit of extra practice at home!)

Fencing was fantastic…Orienteering was outstanding and Archery was awesome.

Then it was time for dinner. Chicken, beef, veggie spring rolls, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, salad, fruit, sponge and apple pie with custard. We don’t know how the teachers managed to fit it all on their plates.

The day finished wiht Mini Olympics… We should be ready for the Rio in 2016.

Fingers crossed (Mrs Campbell’s fingers) we will all be asleep early tonight. No time for missing home yet.

Wish you were here
