Elterwater Day Two

Day Two sees us split into two groups and set off on low level walks with expansive views of the Lake District, on a clear day, and Gill Scrambling. Gill Scrambling is a step up from the Scrambling of Ingleborough – this is full on climbing up a Gill in full flow and is amazing to be a part of. The children really challenge themselves and are so satisfied to have completed the day. Later in the evening we will visit the Mountain Rescue Centre for a talk about the work they do and we get to use the equipment and see the vehicles.

Year 6 Residential to Elterwater 2018

On day one alone we have sailed on Windermere, kayaked, paddle boarded, played in an adventure playground, made our own beds, been on a bat walk, eaten sticky toffee pudding and written diaries. Next up is hot chocolate before bedtime and then no doubt we will all fall straight to sleep! And that’s only day one, day two moves up a gear again.
