Willows shaving foam activity

The children were encouraged to explore the shaving foam with their hands, some children dived straight in whilst others were more cautious. Children made patterns and explored the texture making comments such as “It’s like play dough” and “cold and squishy”.

As you can see from the pictures below for some children this was an extension to their early writing and mark making skills and over the next few weeks we will be exploring other ways of writing and drawing to encourage further development via this interest.

“Look I’m drawing Incy Wincy.”

"He's got his legs now my Incy Wincy."

Texture exploration was taken to a new extreme.

This looks like so much fun. The children in my Baby Home in Tanzania did this the other week! They had lots of fun too.
