Year 1 Assembly

The Caravan & When I Grow Up

Year six performed an assembly this morning for their parents and the children in key stage two. This was all their own work based on the different things they have been learning this half term. There have been a lot of children poorly this week, so the class did really well to put this together.

Here is the performance of our class story – The Caravan. It is followed by the performance of ‘When I Grow Up’ which the children learnt with two teachers from BBEC earlier in the year:

Well done year six, I thought you were excellent this morning and you made me very proud!

British Values Assembly 14.3.2016

Today, the whole school took part in an assembly about British Values. We discussed personal identity and our country’s traditions and values.

The children took part in a ‘thumbs up, thumbs down’ game and suggested groups that can have identity such as The Scouts, a dance group or football team etc. Mrs Cook explained that being British has many characteristics such as democracy, mutual respect and understanding of other faiths. We will all be learning more about this in class.

Can you think of anything that makes Britain special?

What do you think British values are?

Happy Mother’s Day!!

Thank you to all the parents who were able to come and watch our Mother’s Day assembly and join their children in the classroom afterwards. The children really enjoyed showing you their learning and playing with you.

We are very proud of all the children!

Year 6 Honesty Assembly

Our whole school value this half term is honesty. This morning a group of very enthusiastic Year 6 children lead an assembly and play about honesty. The children prepared the slideshow, script and even the costumes and props. Their hard-work paid off as they were fantastic! Well done!
