St.Paul’s Community Carol Service 4.12.17

On 4th December, various members of the community were invited to join our carol service and listen to some Christmas carols with a mince pie. All the children sang beautifully and  everyone enjoyed it. Well done to Mr Collier, Mrs Barraclough and all those who helped.

Huddersfield Uni

In year five, we visited Huddersfield University today! We had a fantastic time in the dance gym, a seminar room and on a tour of the campus. Thank you to Mick and Edwina who accompanied us on our trip, we hope you enjoyed it.

What have you learnt about higher education?

St Paul’s Christmas Sing-a-long

This afternoon staff and pupils at St Paul’s welcomed members of the community into school for a Christmas carol sing-a-long. The children sang beautifully while the visitors enjoyed a cup of tea and a mince pie too!

Year 5 visit to the Gurdwara

Today Year 5 went to visit the Gurdwara Singh Sabha. They learnt a lot about the Sikh Holy Book and how the Sikhs pray and follow the 5 Ks. They were given the opportunity to join in when we looked at instruments used at every service. They also had great fun trying to put a Sikh turban on properly, which is not an easy thing to do!

All of the staff were really proud of Year 5’s behaviour and the respect they had for their local community and other religions.
