Year 5 Brazil Carnival Day 2017
Yesterday the children in Year 5 took part in a Brazil day and found out all about Brazilian carnivals. They made a flag and a mask and then tried some different fruits in the afternoon. They all made their own tropical punch from orange, pineapple and apple juice.
The sun came out too just like in Brazil 🙂
Here are some photos of our day.
What did you learn about carnivals Year 5?

Harold Park
Yesterday we were supposed to be bowling at Wibsey Bowling Club; unfortunately the weather meant we couldn’t go. Instead, we went for a walk to Harold Park and had the chance to put some of the road safety we had learnt in assembly into action.
After walking around the lake, we went on the play area and had a little kick around which was cut short when the ball ended up in the lake! We then had a go on the zip wire – we couldn’t get Mrs Lupton off it! Finally, we visited the sensory garden before making our way back to school.
