The Hunger Games: Mockingjay by Louis

The Hunger Games Mockingjay is one of the best books I’ve ever read. It is by an author called Suzan Collins. It is the last book in the amazing Hunger Games trilogy. It is a really emotional, exiting and intense book. It is for children 9-10. Lots of people have commented on how good is. Even Anthony Horowitz said it is one of the best written and most thought-provoking books he’d read in a long time. That is why I picked this book.

Molly Moon Stops the World by Georgia Byng

Yes you guessed right, this is the follow-up to the jaw-dropping book: Molly Moon’s Incredible Book of Hypnotism. This book starts right where the first one left off so I wouldn’t read this one first. However, despite this slight draw-back the book still lives in the book before’s reputation. What happens is Molly Moon comes back to her orphanage and spruces it up a bit and they even renamed the place ‘happiness house’! They then got sent on a mission to go and find out about an extremely rich business man who, if he lived now would probably own Ikea, McVities, Lego, McDonalds and much more. Now the mystery you have to find out is who is this man and what he really is up too, and finally is hypnotism anything to do with it anyway?
As I said in the previous book review, this book is for mainly everyone. All comments will be much appreciated as these help me improve a lot!

Gang-sta Granny by David Walliams

This is a book about a boy called Ben, who is forced to enter a dancing competition by his mum and dad who love ballroom dancing more then him. Mum and dad know nothing about Ben and what he does at his granny’s. Ben goes to his granny’s every Friday. He plays scrabble and reads the Plumbing Weekly .(He is a lot more interested in plumbing than dancing.) When Ben discovers Granny is an international jewel thief, he thinks it will change his life. Then one day whilst reading the Plumbing Weekly, Ben finds an article that can help him and his granny in their next mission. Could they be the first to succeed?

I would reccomend it for years 7-12 years. Everybody will love every bit of it because I did.

You may laugh or cry or maybe even both.

How to Twist a Dragon’s Tail

This book is part of a series of fantastic books. When Hiccup and his friends get stuck in a ring of fire they discover a new species of dragon

Hiccup who is an expert about dragons, doesn’t recognise the dragons . The dragons made the ring of fire and are very dangerous!

Then Team Hiccup (Hiccup and his friends) find out that on Lava Lout island they have to put the fire stone in the volcano to stop it from erupting. The worst thing about it erupting is it will hatch all the other new dragon which took its name as the Exterminators.

But that is not the end when they meet their worst enemy ,who also is the rest of the series, who steals the fire stone to control the Exterminators and the volcano erupts!

Read the story to find out what happens next, also read the rest of the series. The books are so fun to go along with and a tiny bit funny I would suggest it to everyone , girls and boys.

The Demon Headmaster

I think it is a great book for higher levelled pupils to read because there are some quite difficult words. I would recommend it to pupils in other schools who like the author Gillian Cross. This book is about a child that’s gone to a new family, met some boys and has found out that a headmaster hypnotises children to be well behaved and neat. Joel in year 5 said ” It is a great book  and I would recommend it for higher level readers!” Bethany said ”I loved that book and I would love to read another book by Gillian Cross.”

In space there is no gravity. In space there is no sun or weather. Neil Armstrong was the first one in space ever. In space there are lots of planets such as Jupiter, Mars and Veneus. In space there isnt a bed.
