This week, Year 2 visited the Mosque as a part of their learning about Islam.
First, they were introduced to a woman called Fatima. Fatima kindly took them to the washroom which is where Muslims would wash before praying.
Year 2 were also told that they had to cover their heads and take their shoes off. This was to show respect to the Gods.
Year 2 learnt a lot of things while on their trip, such as, Muslims have to pray 5 times a day, and they have these bracelets called ‘prayer beads.’
They had a lot of fun and enjoyed their trip.
We just want to give a special thanks to Reverend Colin and Natalie as well as a few parents and grandparents that came along and helped.
