On Friday the 6th of December, Mrs Keighley (our head teacher) held an inspirational assembly about a book called’ My Princess Boy’.
First, she played an amazing song that was named Rainbow-land by Mylie Cyrus. At the beginning, no-one knew the words to sing along but as it got going, lots of people started to join in with the wonderful lyrics.
When the song had finished, Mrs Keighley started reading a book called ‘My Princess Boy’. It was based around the theme ‘Don’t Judge A Book By It’s Cover’.
We thought this was a good assembly as it taught us not to judge people for being themselves.
I ( Mollie) thought that it was great for younger children because of the moral behind it. I ( Eleanor ) thought that this assembly was a brilliant example for kids to not judge people for what they look or sound like. I ( Ruby ) thought that it was a brilliant assembly.
