On Tuesday morning, Mr Hodges presented an assembly called The Huey’s New Jumper. We all enjoyed the assembly and we learnt lots about stereotypes. Everybody thought they were cute!!!!
Rupert, the main Huey, made a big difference from looking the same and doing the same things. All the Hueys did the same, ate the same and looked the same but Rupert wanted to be different. At home, he knitted his own jumper. He celebrated his differences by wearing it outside. Not all of them were happy about this .
Soon after one of them joined in, then more then did, then they all did and they were all the same again. We learnt that it is okay to be different and that it is important to do whatever makes you happy and feel comfortable. Even if that may mean being ‘different’.
