For many years running, Blakehill have participated in helping the Bradford Food Bank and this year was no exception. We collected in: tins, bags and packets of food.
We had a special assembly where someone from the Food Bank came to talk to us all about the special occasion. They told us that it was going to go to help the people who don’t have money to buy enough food. She set us a challenge to fill up the entire car. Challenge accepted! The front of our hall was overflowing with food donations!
We then gathered up all the food that we had collected and helped a man from the Food Bank to load it into his car. It was a big job because there was so much! We definitely met the challenge!
Well done Blakehill!

On Wednesday 9th October 2P and 2S went to Saltaire. They visited as part of their history topic on Sir Titus Salt and Saltaire. They met Mrs Dooley at the start of the day in the church who was very funny and told them about how people lived in Saltaire during the Victorian times.
They split into two groups and had a guided tour around Saltaire. Year 2 were then each given a bookmark showing details about people who used to live there in the 1800’s. In the afternoon, they made drawings of some important places they saw. They loved finding the houses their characters used to live in. It was a gorgeous day and all the children and staff really enjoyed it!
Hi I am Mia,
I wanted to be a blogger because I love technology. I’m in year 4 and I like playing with my friends.
I love talking about what has happened in school and am looking forward to telling you all about it.
