On the 11th of December, Year 1 and 2 had a Christmas party in the school hall. During the event, prizes were won, food was eaten and party games were played such as musical statues, musical bumps, pass the parcel and corners. It was so much fun! The food that was available to eat was; buns, pizza, sweets and many more (Yum!) Key Stage one had very full tummies and smiley faces by the end!
As a surprise for the children, the one and only Santa Claus took a trip to visit them! The children were extremely excited and can only hope he visits again on the 25th! They had a fantastic time that we are sure they will never forget.

Today was Children In Need Day! Everybody at Blakehill came in some spotacular clothes with their one pounds and their old pound coins that they had found at home to support Children In Need with respect and fun! This afternoon, the children all went into the hall for a special assembly about this celebration. Mrs Keighley said a massive thank you to us and read out all the things she was thankful for at school, also tying in with Thanksgiving in America, which is also in November.
Up for grabs was a cute Pudsey bear teddy, which could be won in the raffle for 50p! Lucky Ellie (who is in 4J) was picked out of the raffle-ticket basket and won the prize, which was really worth £10.00! From this raffle we raised….. £209.50! Well done!
Children In Need said that they were taking in the rest of the old pound coins, which was very helpful to lots of people. Overall, JUST in old pound coins we already raised £93! But non-uniform tops all of those with a whopping £325.84, leading to a grand total of all the money of £628.34!
Blakehill were very happy to support Children In Need day and everybody had lots of fun dressing up in spots! Its not very often you get to do that is it? We are very thankful for everything we have and wish Children In Need the very best.
Tomorrow, the floorless people of the PTFA have blown us off our feet with yet another impressive Summer Fair. Each year we have one and they have topped it each time. This year we have some amazing stalls that will be really fun and enjoyable! You might like to go and play on the tin can alley or you could test your luck with a name the bear. These are some stalls that might also suit you : hook a hoop, good as new book stall, jar tombola, bottle tombola and general tombola (there will be some more shops) and if you like you can test your skills with Mr Lowe, the most fierce goalie you have ever met. If you feel like being in theme of the fair, pirates and princesses, you can take part in a treasure hunt and if you are chosen best dress you get to walk in the parade, plus a prize! First prize is 1 hour bowling and second is free entry to Funopolis.
For your entertainment, you will have a cheer-leading team called Sonic Boom, performing at 1:35pm. Pro-Elite football skills will be going on all day. The school choir , who have kindly agreed to sing at 2:20pm, will be wowing you with their singing skills, singing some fun songs you may recognise. We hope we will be seeing you there tomorrow and make sure to wear your best princess or pirate costume! We hope you enjoy your day and we are crossing our fingers that it doesn’t rain!
