New Year

A new year makes people think about the things that have happened

over the last twelve months.

What would you consider an important memory from 2012 and why?

Share your thoughts.  . . . . .

Festive sing-a-long

What a wonderful singing assembly we had this morning.

It was lovely to listen to the year 4 recorder players too.

Which song was your favourite?

Christmas Samba!

The samba club showed their skills this morning in assembly by providing a percussion soundtrack to Christmas carols.

Would you like to join the samba club? If you would them find out from your teacher how to join.

Year 4 are country dancing!

Year 4 have been learning country dancing in their P.E. lessons. They’ve found out that it can be tricky to learn but by being resilient they are improving and having lots of fun.

Santa skypes year 3!

Unbelievably Santa rang year 3 this afternoon…and he used Skype!

What a great surprise. He answered some of our questions and told year 3 how much he enjoyed their Nativity play (he was in disguise at the back of the hall).

Maths games

5F have designed and planned maths games for homework. The games had to have a maths theme and include all four operations. They are now playing the games and testing their maths knowledge. What about designing your own game over the holidays?

Our busy lunchtime chess club…

It’s panto time at Hothfield..

Did you enjoy Dick Whittington and his Cat this afternoon? What was your favourite part?

We all know that keeping safe is very important when we use the Internet for games, chatting, listening to music and many other things.

Year 6 have created some posters to help collect ideas and used Comic Life to present a message about  “How to keep safe”.

Some of the work below are finished, others are near finished. But it was felt that we wanted to share the posters with you now.

What would you consider the safest thing to do when using the internet?

Click on the links below:
