Friday afternoon celebration

We have had the most amazing few days and we have shared many different pieces of work each class have worked on.

What happened?

What evidence is there?

After completing letters and composing music that will assist the aliens communicate. Year 5 watch a short part of the ET film.

Year 5 voted the best of each section of two letters that Hothfield are going to send to the aliens.

Year 4 pupils also used books and ipads to investigate ‘aliens’ ‘space’ and ‘The Voyager’

Year 5 discuss the event.

Writing skills are used to collect ideas

Some classes are making their own space ship models

Newspaper reports are written to record the days exciting event.

Some pupils are using information collected to draw their own impression of the alien and space ship.

We are very excited.

Netball league

Hothfield’s year 5 and 6 netball team played their first league games of the season on Monday evening.

In their first match, they drew 1-1 with Long Lee. Paige scored the point.

The second match was a friendly game against St. Stephens. Hothfield lost narrowly but Mrs Meakin was exceptionally pleased and proud of all our players’ performances.
