5 HC’s book of the week


Children in 5HC chose Billionaire Boy by David Walliams as their book if the week.

The book tells the story of a 12 year old billionaire called Joe Spud. He has everything money can buy, but unfortunately no friends to share them with, so Joe changes schools to try and find himself a friend.

4B’s book of the week


Children from 4B chose George’s Marvellous Medicine as their Book of the Week.

They chose the book because it is a really funny story and “it tells you how to get rid of your Grandma’s if they annoy you”. Watch out Grandmas.

Hothfield’s athletes


This evening some year 5 and 6 pupils took part in an indoor athletics competition at Holy Family school.

We were superb and deservedly finished 2nd out of 4 teams. The highlight for Hothfield was winning the mixed relay.

Open School for Reading…


This term, school is open from 8.30 every morning for children to enjoy a good book…  Why not come in and read?
