4F’s Book of the Week

This week, 4F have chosen How to Train Your Dragon by Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III.  He is helped by Cresseda Cowell.  This is our class book and we have been enjoying it very much.

The book is about Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third who was an awesome sword fighter, a dragon-whisperer and the greatest Viking Hero that ever lived.

Can Hiccup pass the Dragon Initiation Programme with a toothless dragon and fight the Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus before it gobbles up every Viking on Berk?  It’s time for Hiccup to learn how to be a hero.

The Tudor Rose

Year 4 children have been wowing audiences all week with their fantastic performance of The Tudor Rose. Did you enjoy watching or performing? Did you learn something about Tudor times?

Winter Olympics

Have you watched any of the events?

Which event would you love to try?

I have managed to watch some ice hockey, bobsleigh, curling and board racing. I found that once I started to watch an event that I had to watch the whole heats down to the finals.

I must say the snow boarding cross is such a fast adrenaline race – I was sat on the end of my settee throughout – Mr Spencer tells me I was leaning at the same time as the participants! Go on then, the snow boarding cross is my favourite event.
