Training the Hothfield Buddies

The Hothfield Buddies received special training today on playground games that everyone will enjoy.  They will be teaching other Hothfielders the games they learnt today to help everyone have happy and safe playtimes.  What is your favourite playtime game?

Supporting all Hothfielders in the playground and around school…

Our Hothfield Buddies are on duty every lunchtime to ensure all Hothfielders are safe and happy at playtimes.  They lead games, help resolve disputes, check everyone is following our Golden Rules for Happy Playtimes and support anyone who needs help. They are receiving special training today to teach everyone some new playground games. How has a Buddy helped you?

Unexploded bomb!


Y6 are beginning to find out about the Second World War and George has made this fantastic model showing an unexploded bomb in someone’s yard. Evacuate!

All Around the World…

Today was All Around the World Day – we all learnt about a different country – including something of its language on today European Day of Languages.  We went from Tanzania to Denmark, Australia to France and many more.  Which country did you visit?  What did

you learn about it?  Can you say any words in that country’s language?

U11’s girls’ football at Oakbank


What a performance from the Hothfield girls this evening. They drew their first game 0-0, lost their second 1-0 but won all of their final three games by a 1-0 scoreline. Annabelle and Grace were our goal-scorers.
