Year 4 Children Linking Up!

Year 4 have had a busy week linking up with the Year 4s from Heaton Primary School as part of the Schools Linking Project.  The Project helps our children learn about themselves and the lives of others – and develops their relationship skills…

Hothfield children in an artistic Tour de Force!

As a way of celebrating  the wonderful art work inspired by the incredible Tour de Yorkshire event  which took our town by storm a few weeks ago,  the Friends of Silsden Town Hall   invited Year 4 children to take part in an exciting new art project.   During the afternoon, children  had the opportunity to work alongside local artist, Shirley Schofield and learn first hand about the water colour  techniques she uses to create her fabulous paintings of cyclists in action.    The children were then able to  use what they learnt to paint their own pictures.

Thank you very much to Wendy and all the other people who helped make this event possible.

U11s boys football

On Tuesday afternoon it was our year 5 and 6 boys team’s turn to play in a competition at Marley.

The team won 2, drew 1 and lost 2 of their group games. Unfortunately they didnt qualify for the knockout rounds but they played really well and had an enjoyable time.

Well done Ethan, Joe, Sam, James, Alfie, Archie and Jack.
