Last netball league fixtures of the season.

On Thursday our netball team played their last league fixtures of the season.

They were awarded a walkover win in their scheduled league game. They also played a friendly against OLV and won 1-0. Alix (our player of the evening) scored our goal.

We finished a very respectable 4th out of 7 teams in our league. Rianna was awarded as our Player of the Season. Well done Rianna.

Hothfield’s netball team in action again.

Last Thursday (12th), Hothfield’s netball team played 2 more league matches at Holy Family school. We won the first match 3-1, agianst St Stephen’s, and lost the second match 1-0 against OLV.

Rianna scored all 3 of our points. Well done to Scarlet, Sahiba, Rianna, Alix, Rachel, Marissa, Alana, Emily, Sofia, Emilie and Abigail. Mrs. Meakin says that you are representing Hothfield ever so well and that we are continuing to improve.

Keep it up girls.

Netball 27/11/14

Hothfield played two friendly games. We drew 1-1 in both games. Rianna scoed in the first game. Sofia scored in the second game.

Rianna got player of the day. All the girls played well together and I am very proud of their performances.

Y5/6 Girls’ Netball Competition

On Thursday evening, eight Year 5/6 girls represented Hothfield in a tournament at Holy Family School.

Sofia (5C) impressively scored all 4 of the team’s goals and was awarded player of the day.

Our Hothfield team ended up winning one of our three matches, with all of the squad playing really well together. They, and Mrs Meakin, are already looking forward to the next matches!

Well done to all involved: Sofia, Rianna, Alix, Emilie, Rachel, Alana, Scarlet and Emily.

Netball club in full swing again

It’s so great to see our netball players training again. They are having so much fun. Are you looking forward to playing matches for the school?

Netball League 18/11/13

Last Monday evening our year 5 and 6 netball team played their second round of league fixtures.

We lost our first game to St. Stephens and drew our second game with Long Lee. Abigail and Aimee scored our points in that game.

Well done to all the girls that took part. Mrs Meakin believes that you are improving with every game you play, so keep going girls.

Netball league

Hothfield’s year 5 and 6 netball team played their first league games of the season on Monday evening.

In their first match, they drew 1-1 with Long Lee. Paige scored the point.

The second match was a friendly game against St. Stephens. Hothfield lost narrowly but Mrs Meakin was exceptionally pleased and proud of all our players’ performances.

Well done girls!

Football and netball friendly competition at Steeton

Some of our year 5 and 6 girls took part in a friendly sports competition at Steeton. They played football and netball.

Our final netball matches of the season

Hothfield’s netball team played their final matches of the season yesterday evening at Holy Family School.

Losing 1-0 as half time approached Molly scored to level the match. Jasmine and Elly scored further points in the second half to help Hothfield record a 3-1 victory.

In the second match Maire scored to give us the lead but we found ourselves 2-1 down at half time. In the second half Lizzy and Jasmine scored points to win 3-2.

Mrs Meakin said that these performances were Hothfield’s best of the season and the girls played as a team and with plenty of confidence. They were a credit to our school.

Our final standings for the season were 3rd out of 6 with 30 points (The teams above us both had 36 points).

Elly was awarded the girl of the season prize.

 

Netball results

Hothfield’s year 5 and 6 netball team played two more league fixtures on Monday evening and they won both games 2-1.

Elly scored both points in the first game and Charlotte and Maire each scored one point in the second game.

Elly was named as Girl of the Match.
