Bradford’s Games Based Learning Network
- Do you have experience in using games based learning in your classroom to engage and stimulate children in amazing cross-curricular lessons?
- Are you open to new ideas and can think creatively about how GBL resources can be used in KS1/2?
- Would you like to network with like-minded teachers and be a ‘pathfinder’ for the Bradford Games Based Learning network?
The Curriculum Innovation team would like to work with 15 teachers (in the first instance) from subscriber schools to develop a centre of excellence for games based learning known as ‘The Learning Arcade’.
The GBL network will meet once per half term at the new Innovation Centre in Little Germany, Bradford. We have also organised a Skype meeting with a GBL guru guest for each of the first three meetings. Our first Skype guest will be Derek Robertson (@derekrobertson) who ran ‘The Consolarium’ for Learning Teaching Scotland.
The initial meeting is being held on Wednesday 23rd October from 4:00-5:30pm and an agenda will be e-mailed to you once you have signed up for the network.
