Digital Leader Academy Celebration
We have had another successful year with our Bradford Digital Leader Academy programme.
Several schools have engaged in this year’s academy and I was pleased that several of those schools were able to meet today at the Innovation Centre in Bradford to share some of their journeys and successes as well as being presented with their certificates, digital leader wristbands and doughnuts!
The children had worked hard over the last year understanding and developing their digital leader skills and knowledge in order to support their schools effectively. They have all utilised the Edmodo platform to share what they have been doing with each other and myself and to submit evidence for their online digital leader badges and certificates.
Many children have achieved level 1 badges this year including (e)Safeguarder, Leader and Presenter. These badges are based on the National Digital Leader Framework strands and themes developed by Paul Scott and Chris Sharples.
The children meet regularly and have successfully prepared and delivered training to parents, staff and pupils on a range of subjects. They have developed their technological expertise and worked across a variety of year groups enabling children and staff to utilise technology across the curriculum. Several schools have their own space on their school website, school noticeboard and in school newsletters to publicise and celebrate the work they are doing in schools.
I am looking forward to supporting more Digital Leaders next year and full details of the Digital Leader Academy can be found here. Please be aware that we only have one place left on Cohort 1 starting in September.
Congratulations to all the children who have become Digital Leader’s this year!
