Safer Internet Day 2017

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and is coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre. Safer Internet Day 2016 had the theme of Play your part for a better internet and reached 2.8 million children and 2.5 million parents!

Every year many schools use Safer Internet day to complement their school’s existing Online Safety curriculum by having a day (or week) of Online Safety activities across the whole school involving pupils, parents and the wider community.

We hope all schools across Bradford will celebrate their Online Safety skills and knowledge and share this with the wider community by utilising the materials for Safer Internet Day 2017 (#SID2017). This year’s theme is Be the change: unite for a better internet and there are lots of great ideas and teaching materials here
