Believe and Achieve

Year 5/6

on November 11, 2011

Year 5 and 6 are concluding WOW week with a geocaching lesson. Geocaching is a treasure hunt using tech. They had to use Garmin GPS devices to find hidden caches around the school grounds. In each box there was a picture of an ‘inspirational’ person. They then had to use an iPod Touch to take a picture of the person.

hopefully they did i hope they had a wonderful time and that it was fun for them . I wonder what there gonna do next probally something fun hope they have fun doing that to.

  3. I really like the idea of combining the Geocaching with the use of the Ipod Touch and the pictures of the persons, I think that its a creative idea that would have added an extra layer to the students enjoyment of it. Great to see the photo of the students involved in the activity as well, finally good luck with blogging. If your going to publicise your posts online on twitter might want to try using the ‘comments4kids’ # as that should get some response.

    Hi,
Mrs Ward here from Harden Primary.
I think the geocaching project looks like great fun. Did you geocach in your school grounds or try out in the local area?
This is very much the sort of thing I’d love to try with our children here at Harden!
    I like your blog.
