Acting Headteacher Blog – Communication

on November 4, 2016

Hello and welcome to the start of a new half term. This week I’m not going to say much as a newsletter has also gone out today, which can be downloaded from┬áthe school website if you don’t receive a copy.

I’ve collated the responses to the parental questionnaire that was given out at the parent information evening and although the number of responses is small (less than 25% of the parents) it does give an idea of areas for us to question as a school. They can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.

As part of moving forward with this information, and examining the way we communicate with all stakeholders, governors have invited parents to a forum on Wednesday 9th November at 17:30 – 18:30 in the school hall. The agenda and invitation can be downloaded from the front page of the school website above the calendar.

This is not a meeting intended to arrive at solutions but to share ideas about what is important to you as a parent and start the ball rolling. We will cover information sharing including what, how and when you would like to receive it. It is also an opportunity to share which events you enjoy and would like to see more of and which you either are not able or don’t want to attend in school. If you are unable to come to the meeting, and I appreciate that the time will not suit everyone, then please send any ideas in to school for discussion and they will be raised at the meeting.

I look forward to welcoming you to the governor led meeting and listening and contributing with ideas and views from the school’s perspective.
