Year 5 Pharaohs

on January 13, 2017

Our topic this term is Pharaohs. Read further to find out what we have been doing in class so far…

In year 5 we have been making fact files about Egyptian Gods and also we did some art about Egyptian artifacts. We drew pictures of artifacts found in Tutankhamun’s tomb.

by Hanley and Joe

Lately we have been doing some Egyptian art. We drew multicoloured death masks, equipment to take out your body parts, tombs and crosses that are believed to go to the underworld with you.  We have also been making a fact file about 3 to 4 of our favourite Egyptian Gods and Godesses. These are some of the gods; Ra, Amun, Horus, Thoth, Ma’at, Isis, Osiris, Hathor, Anubis and Sekhmet.

This term be have been learning about Egyptian Gods and Goddesses and we have read lots of stories about them. Did you know the Egyptians had over 2000 gods and godesses?

In RE we have been reading stories about Sikhism and we have done lots of work about Sikhs.

by Noah and Sam

We drew pictures of ancient Egyptian artifacts, they were from Tutankhamun’s tomb. We also made fact files on Egyptian Gods. Ra  is the sun god and the most important god in Egyptian times. Amun can turn invisible and it is believed he created all things. We also tried some of Hanley’s Egyptian flatbread, it was very nice.
