Acting Headteacher

Hello – two updates to add further to the newsletter (which can be viewed online via the website).

First is a link to the ‘Thank a Teacher’ site – the deadline for awards nominations has all but passed however it is the function that allows for thank you’s to be sent via a postcard to the staff member with a message that I think makes this worthwhile. Taking the time to say thank you really would make someone’s day. It does say thank a teacher but it is to thank anyone working in school.

THANK A TEACHER

Second is a link to information about the new funding formula proposals and how to respond with your thoughts.

What is the NFF?

The Government has reinforced its commitment to introduce a national formula for funding schools and academies from 2018-19 to ensure every school will have funding matched to need, to give every child an excellent education. This second stage consultation sets out full illustrations of the impacts of the funding formulae across schools and local authorities. Contributing to this stage of the consultation means we have the opportunity to comment on how funding should/could be distributed and helps us highlight context factors eg deprivation factors, performance levels where we may want to argue schools should be better funded.

How to respond?
