Jaberwocky Films

We have been reading the poem Jaberwocky by Lewis Carroll.

Here are some still pictures of the backgrounds and characters from the poem that we have used to tell the story. Please reply and tell Merlin all about what we have been doing and why you think the goblins will be entertained by the films.

What’s happening in the grotto?

It’s been an exciting start to the week and the creativity is beginning to show in the grotto in the workbase!

Each class have been leaving exciting things in the grotto for the Goblin King.

What have you made for the Goblin King?

Fingers crossed if we continue to work like this I’m sure we will get the next part of the spell!

Our Journeys of Faith

During reflection time we are thinking about our own journeys of faith. Please add your own journey of faith experiences, prayers, and what you consider are your blessings in life. Think about the challenges you face or are facing during this time when we are thinking about moving on.

World Book Day

As part of World Book Day we are going to write a story together using the blog. Each class will take it in turns to write a chapter for the book by clicking on ‘comments’. Number the chapters in order and include your class name and by the end of the day we should have written a story together as a school – fingers crossed! 🙂

How To Blog Safely…

A blog can be very exciting, it allows people from all over the world to read our work and make comments. We need to remember to follow a few simple rules to stay safe and to get the most out of our blog.

  • Children are to only use their first name when commenting.
  • Parents who leave comments are asked to use their first name only so as not to identify their child. Or post comments as “Harry’s Mum” or “Megan’s Grandfather”.
  • All posts will be checked by school staff before they are published to the blog.
  • All comments are moderated by school staff before they appear on the blog.
  • Always be respectful for other people’s work – be positive if you are going to comment.
  • No text talk – write in full sentences and read your comments back carefully before submitting.

These rules should help to make the blog a safe and exciting home for our work.

Click on the picture above to go to the ThinkYouKnow website and meet Hector, Lee and Kim and play a whole host of e safety games with information about how to stay safe online for children, parents and teachers including where to go if you need help.
