Year 6 Whitby Trip

On Friday, Year 6 went to Whitby as part of our topic work. We looked at the Abbey, walked down (and up) the 199 steps, went in the old town, on the pier and play on the beach. The children also had time to look in the shops and buy gifts and sweets. We had a fantastic day although the weather was miserable and wet. The children were a credit to the school and enjoyed it very much.

What was your favourite part?

My favourite part was when we was on the coach because we got to go to sleep, rest or talk to the person we was sat with. I also liked it when we got to go to the shops and buy either gifts or sweets. I bought sweets because there were a lot of rock shops and I like rock.

I loved going to Whitby even though it was raining and it was cold. On the coach i always fall asleep. I had never been down the 199 steps or gone near the abbey. And Miss Charles please don’t call me chicken. I went in the sea and the next day I still couldn’t feel my toes. We walked across the pier and saw a fishing boat. The shopping part was my favourite though. When we were shopping we saw the swing bridge open. I bought a rock dummy, a large rock stick, a small rock stick and a marshmallow lolly. I even pinched Miss Charles’s chips. Thank you for booking the trip teachers. I love Whitby!

  3. I had a brilliant time and I think Miss Charles and Mrs Rawlinson are the best teachers ever!!! I love them!!!
