Year 3 at Tatton Park

Yesterday we stepped back in time, we went back to 410 AD and learnt all about how the Anglo Saxons lived.
We braided wool, made bread and practiced going in to battle.
We had a fantastic day at Tatton Park and our Anglo Saxon friends really helped us to understand more about this time. It was a great end to the half term.

Year 5 – Spring 2

Welcome back year five, and welcome back Miss Shahbaz. This half term our topic is WWII and we will be going on a trip to Tatton Park to learn about what life was like for evacuees during the war.

If you would like to complete some extra homework, please visit Education City where I have created some new ‘My Cities’ for you to have a go at. You can also have another go at the older ‘My Cities’ as it is always good to revisit previous work. TT Rockstars is another great website and app where you can practice your times tables.

This term we are learning:

  • Maths –  Fractions, Decimals and Percentages
  • English – Portal Stories and Explanation Texts
  • Topic – WWII
  • Science – Animals including Humans

Tatton Park

Last Friday, year five visited Tatton Park to learn more about the life of an evacuee during WWII. Poor Aunt Mary got a bit of a surprise when they arrived as she was only expecting three to five evacuees. Everyone had a great day and learnt a lot about life in WWII.

Thank you to all of the adults who came with us on our trip!
